Black At: A Black Students Matter Movement (2026) is a feature documentary exploring the lived experiences of Black students navigating America’s predominantly white private Pre-K–12 schools and the national movement that emerged when they chose to speak openly about the pervasive internalized, interpersonal, and systemic racism they face.
We are currently in post-production and raising $75,000 to complete the film’s final creative elements: animation, archival producing, and sound design.

The story has been filmed and the voices have been recorded. Post-production is where Black At becomes fully realized. Animation, archival producing, and sound design are not decorative elements, but essential tools for visualizing internal emotional experiences, situating the movement within its historical and cultural context, and creating an immersive cinematic experience that honors the voices of those who trusted us with their stories.
